Photobiomodulation And Its Influence On The Regulation Of Gene Expression In Human Cells: A Narrative Literature Review
TLDR Photobiomodulation can influence gene and protein expression related to healing and inflammation.
Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as low-level laser therapy, is a non-invasive treatment method used to aid recovery from various tissue injuries and pathologies, including muscle strains, burns, acne, and atherosclerosis. This narrative literature review explores the molecular effects of PBM on gene and protein expression related to inflammation, cell proliferation, and differentiation in humans. The study highlights the need for further elucidation of PBM's mechanisms of action and examines how different application parameters affect cellular responses and activate metabolic pathways.
