Burden of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Its Determinants Among Female Doctors at a Tertiary Care Hospital of Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka: A Cross-Sectional Study

    A cross-sectional study conducted among 160 female doctors aged 21–50 years at a tertiary care hospital in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, found a 21.25% prevalence of PCOS, which is higher than the average in India. Irregular menses was the most common symptom, and marital status was significantly associated with PCOS. The study emphasizes the need for increased awareness and management of PCOS among healthcare professionals to promote their health and wellness.
