Penopubic Junction Reconstruction Using a Pedicled Superficial Circumflex Iliac Artery Perforator Flap

    The article detailed a case involving a 27-year-old male who experienced severe scarring and contraction at the penopubic junction following a penis lengthening procedure, resulting in a short penis and high hanging scrotum. To address this, the authors used a pedicled superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator flap to repair a 4 x 3 cm defect at the junction. They developed a hybrid technique combining a proximal-to-distally flap elevation approach with a pedicle elongation strategy to safely and effectively harvest the flap. The study concluded that this method could be an effective alternative for reconstructing postoperative scar traction at the penopubic junction.
