TLDR Personalized PRP treatment improved hair growth and thickness in a 27-year-old male with hair loss.
This case study explores the effectiveness of a personalized Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in a 27-year-old male with moderate hair loss. The treatment, involving microneedling-assisted PRP application over three sessions, resulted in a 42% increase in terminal hair density and improved hair shaft diameter from 0.04mm to 0.06mm. The patient reported high satisfaction with a score of 8.5/10, and no significant adverse events were noted. Histological analysis showed enhanced scalp vascularization and follicular activity. Despite the promising results, the study's limitations include its single-patient sample size and the need for long-term studies to confirm the findings and develop standardized protocols.
