TLDR The new testosterone patch works as well as the gel.
The study evaluated the pharmacokinetics of a new Transdermal Delivery System (TDS) for testosterone in 12 healthy males, comparing it to a placebo and a commercially available topical gel (Androgel). Results indicated that TDS-testosterone achieved a higher mean AUC(0,12 h) than Androgel and placebo, with similar Cmax values between TDS-testosterone and Androgel, both surpassing the placebo. The analysis confirmed that TDS-testosterone was bioequivalent to Androgel, effectively delivering testosterone systemically, unlike the placebo.
