Pilot Study of Topical Management of Folliculitis: Clinical Outcomes and Safety in Routine Practice

    This pilot study evaluated the use of a medical device gel containing hyaluronic acid and hydrogen peroxide for managing folliculitis in 13 adults aged 18-45 over 8 weeks. Results showed a three-fold reduction in lesion count and a 66.6% improvement in Total Severity Score, with positive impacts on quality of life and high patient satisfaction. Safety was confirmed with only two mild and transient adverse effects reported. The study supports the gel's favorable safety and performance, indicating potential for future controlled trials.
