This study on plant-derived exosome injections in 30 adults with early-stage alopecia found that these injections significantly increased β-catenin expression, indicating activation of Wnt-mediated regenerative pathways, and enhanced CD34-positive stem cell populations around hair follicles. Additionally, there was a notable reduction in CD68-positive macrophages and CD3-positive T cells, suggesting an anti-inflammatory effect, while B cells and plasma cells remained stable. These changes were associated with clinical improvements in hair restoration, providing insights into the mechanisms of plant-based exosome therapy and supporting its potential as a novel treatment for hair regeneration.
