TLDR Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a cost-effective way to improve skin rejuvenation and repair in facial aesthetics.
The document demonstrated the importance and benefits of using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to optimize facial dermal rejuvenation. Over the past 50 years, blood hemoconcentrates have been used for skin wound treatment, enhancing dermal rejuvenation in aesthetic procedures. PRP, grouped under this acronym, was used clinically as a surgical adjunct for tissue regeneration, wound healing, scar improvement, alopecia treatment, and limiting fibrosis in damaged or diseased organs. A retrospective literature analysis from 2006 to 2021 focused on the evolution and use of autologous hemoconcentrates. The conclusion indicated that hemoconcentrates were a cost-effective alternative for tissue repair and regeneration, with benefits in various clinical applications in facial aesthetics. PRP increased growth factors at the application site, enhancing angiogenesis, and cell proliferation and differentiation.
