TLDR The polyherbal hair oil effectively improves hair and scalp health with multiple benefits.
The study evaluates a polyherbal hair oil formulated with amla, hibiscus, curry leaves, and coconut oil, prepared using a boiling method. This oil demonstrated multiple benefits, including anti-hair loss, anti-dandruff, anti-fungal, and anti-greying effects, as well as improved scalp blood circulation. The oil's physicochemical properties, such as acid value, viscosity, saponification value, pH, and skin irritation potential, were assessed. Rich in bioactive compounds like flavonoids, tannins, and phenolic compounds, the oil showed promising antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. The findings support the potential of polyherbal formulations in managing hair disorders and enhancing hair and scalp health.
