TLDR Many recovered COVID-19 patients in Saudi Arabia still experience symptoms like fatigue and anxiety, especially older adults and those with other health issues.
The study assessed post-COVID-19 symptoms in 744 recovered individuals in Saudi Arabia, finding that 47.5% experienced persistent symptoms, with fatigue, headache, and myalgia being common. Neuropsychiatric symptoms like anxiety and depression were also reported, and 11.5% noted hair loss. Females and hospitalized patients were more likely to report incomplete recovery, and ongoing symptoms were associated with age over 50 and comorbidities. The study emphasized the need for proper post-recovery assessment and highlighted the importance of vaccination to reduce COVID-19 infection rates.
