The study found that acne vulgaris is highly prevalent among adults and significantly impacts psychosocial well-being. While diet and stress did not show a significant association with acne severity, inadequate sleep was strongly correlated with more severe acne. The study highlights the importance of sleep as a modifiable lifestyle factor influencing acne severity and notes that acne can affect social interactions and mental health.
