The study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of non-scarring alopecia among female patients with hirsutism and involved over 90 participants. It found that the most common type of hair loss associated with hirsutism was androgenetic alopecia with telogen effluvium, affecting 55.6% of the patients. Trichoscopic examination revealed features such as hair shaft heterogeneity, empty hair follicles, and upright regrowing hair. The study concluded that androgenetic alopecia with telogen effluvium was the most prevalent form of non-scarring alopecia in women with hirsutism.
