TLDR Vitamin B6 helps increase hair growth and density in rabbits by affecting certain cell signaling pathways.
A study conducted on 200 rex rabbits found that pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, significantly increased hair follicle density and promoted hair growth. The rabbits were divided into 5 groups and fed diets supplemented with 0, 5, 10, 20, or 40 mg/kg of pyridoxine. The results showed that pyridoxine increased total follicle density, secondary follicle density, and the secondary-to-primary ratio. It also promoted the growth of hair stems and increased the growth length of hair follicles. Pyridoxine affected the gene expression of components of the PI3K/Akt, Wnt, and Notch signalling pathways, which are crucial for hair growth. However, it had no effect on the gene expression of BMP2, BMP4, or TGF-β1, components of the BMP signalling pathway. The study concluded that pyridoxine could potentially be used to promote hair growth and delay hair follicle degeneration.

in Progress Pictures  2 upvotes 4 days ago
The user is experiencing negative side effects from a hair loss treatment containing finasteride and minoxidil due to high vitamin B6 content and plans to switch to separate pills without unnecessary vitamins. Another user suggests using a version without B6, noting similar symptoms from finasteride.
