Perceptions of Quality Medical Education Among Caribbean Graduate School Administrators, Faculty, and Students That Foster Student Engagement and Achievement

    This study explored perceptions of innovative teaching methods at a Caribbean medical school, involving 35 students, 20 faculty members, and 8 administrators. It found that interactive technologies and problem-based learning significantly enhanced student engagement and understanding of complex medical concepts. These methods fostered a collaborative environment and active participation, though challenges such as the need for faculty development were noted. The study emphasizes the importance of embracing change in medical education to prepare future healthcare professionals and encourages similar institutions in the region to adopt these practices.
