Processed Radish Extract Melanogenesis in Humans and Induces Anti-Photoaging Effects in Ultraviolet B-Induced Hairless Mouse Model

TLDR Heated radish extract may help lighten skin and reduce aging signs.
The study demonstrated that Heated Radish Extract (HRE) effectively suppressed tyrosinase activity and melanin production in B16/F10 melanoma cells and reduced the expression of melanin production pathway components. In UVB-exposed hairless mice, HRE inhibited MMP expression, reduced wrinkle formation, and prevented collagen degradation. Additionally, a 3% HRE cream improved skin resilience, moisture, and tone in human skin. These findings suggested that HRE could be a potent skin whitening and anti-aging product.
