TLDR Red hair is linked to worse health, especially in women.
This thesis used meta-analysis of questionnaire data from over 111,000 respondents to examine the impact of red hair on overall health. The study found that red hair significantly correlates with higher levels of mental health problems in both men and women, and poorer overall physical health in women. The intensity of red hair appears to play a greater role in women, with varying responses across subpopulations. Additionally, latent toxoplasmosis was found to negatively affect men's physical health. Overall, the results suggest that red hair has a more detrimental impact on health, particularly in women.
