TLDR A woman with hair loss condition experienced rare hair color return, suggesting it might help diagnose the condition.
A 72-year-old woman with frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), a condition typically seen in postmenopausal women characterized by hairline recession and eyebrow loss, experienced an unusual case of hair repigmentation, or canities reversal. This rare event, especially in older individuals with long-standing white hair, was confirmed through clinical, dermoscopic, and histopathological findings. The case adds to the limited literature on the association between FFA and canities reversal, proposing that this rare occurrence might serve as a diagnostic clue for FFA.
