This review highlights the medicinal potential of selected gymnosperms, including Platycladus orientalis, Araucaria heterophylla, Cycas revoluta, Thuja occidentalis, and Juniperus virginiana. Gymnosperms, known for their therapeutic significance, have been used in various medical systems such as contemporary, folk, and traditional medicine. The review emphasizes the importance of phytochemicals, naturally occurring compounds in plants, which are gaining attention for their potential to develop new bioactive molecules with greater efficacy and fewer side effects than existing drugs. Gymnosperms, with their evolutionary history of 300 million years, are not only used for decoration but also hold significant medicinal value.
