TLDR Virus infection risk is linked to heat tolerance and size, but decreases with high humidity and mutation rate.
This study examined the relationship between the pathogenicity of eight RNA viruses and various environmental and physical conditions. The findings indicated that virus susceptibility to infection is directly related to heat tolerance and virus size, while inversely related to high humidity and mutation rate. Additionally, a positive relationship was found between virus size and mutation rate.
