The study investigated the effects of the Chinese herbal medicine Xianhuayin on reversing premalignant mucosal lesions induced by DMBA in the buccal pouch of golden hamsters. The experimental group consisted of 50 hamsters, with 30 receiving Xianhuayin treatment. Results showed that Xianhuayin significantly improved the condition of the buccal mucosa, with epithelial cells becoming more regular and desmosomes being restored, compared to the untreated group. The study concluded that Xianhuayin was effective in reversing DMBA-induced premalignant lesions in the buccal pouch of golden hamsters.
