This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and topical minoxidil in treating chronic hair fall in 72 patients with androgenetic alopecia or chronic telogen effluvium. Over six months, patients received monthly PRP injections and applied minoxidil. Results showed a significant increase in mean hair density from 91.6 hairs/cm² at baseline to 129.8 hairs/cm² at six months, and a decrease in hair-pull positivity from 65.3% to 15.3%. The Dermatology Life Quality Index improved significantly, and 52.8% of patients showed good or excellent improvement. Adverse events were mild, indicating that the combination therapy is safe and effective for enhancing hair density and reducing hair fall.
