TLDR The cat's scabies and pneumonia improved significantly with treatment.
A 2.5-year-old mixed-breed female cat named Mimi was diagnosed with scabies complicated by bacterial pneumonia. The cat exhibited symptoms such as pruritus, alopecia, nasal discharge, and sneezing. Treatment included ivermectin and diphenhydramine HCl for scabies, amoxicillin with clavulanic acid for bacterial infection, and methylprednisolone for inflammation. Supportive care involved Sangobion syrup and fish oil to aid hair regrowth and erythropoiesis. After seven days, symptoms improved significantly, with continued progress in hair regrowth and weight gain observed up to day 100.
