The study evaluated the impact of chemical peeling on self-esteem and quality of life in 85 men, with 58 undergoing the procedure for therapeutic reasons and 27 for cosmetic reasons. Using the Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale and the Dermatology Life Quality Index, it was found that both groups had similar baseline self-esteem and quality of life scores, which were lower compared to controls. The study concluded that chemical peeling significantly improved self-esteem and quality of life in men, highlighting it as an effective, low-commitment treatment for various skin conditions.
