Evaluation of Serum Vitamin D Levels in Patients with Alopecia Areata

    TLDR Vitamin D levels are not linked to Alopecia Areata.
    The study evaluated serum vitamin-D levels in 70 patients with Alopecia areata compared to 70 healthy controls. Results showed that the mean vitamin-D levels were similar between the two groups, with no statistically significant difference. Specifically, 20% of patients with Alopecia areata had deficient vitamin-D levels compared to 14.3% of healthy controls. The study concluded that there is no association between vitamin D levels and Alopecia Areata.
