TLDR The shampoo effectively defines and models curls while reducing frizz and volume.
The study compared a shampoo formulation containing Polyurethane-14, AMP-acrylates copolymer (PAAC) to a control formulation on curly and natural hair tresses. With 8 hair tresses and 2 panelists evaluating sensory attributes, the results showed that the PAAC formulation effectively defined and modeled curls, reduced volume and frizz over 24 hours, and produced less foam. The shampoo was concluded to be effective for curl definition and modeling in both natural and curly hair.
