SIÇANLARDA SODYUM VALPROAT KAYNAKLI MİDE HASARI ÜZERİNE RUTİN’İN OKSİDATİF STRES, İNFLAMASYON VE APOPTOZ ÜZERİNDEKİ KORUYUCU ETKİLERİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

This study investigated the protective effects of rutin, a natural antioxidant, on gastric tissue damage induced by sodium valproate in rats. A total of 35 Wistar albino rats were divided into 5 groups, including control, rutin, sodium valproate, and two sodium valproate plus rutin groups with different doses (50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg). Over 14 days, sodium valproate was administered at 500 mg/kg, and rutin was given orally. On the 15th day, gastric tissues were analyzed for oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis markers. Results showed that sodium valproate increased oxidative stress and inflammation markers compared to the control group. Rutin administration reduced these effects, indicating its potential protective role against sodium valproate-induced gastric damage.
