Synchronous Fluorescence as a Green and Selective Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Finasteride and Tadalafil in Dosage Form and Spiked Human Plasma

    The study presents a sensitive and environmentally friendly first derivative synchronized spectrofluorometric method for the simultaneous quantitative analysis of finasteride and tadalafil in raw materials, pharmaceutical preparations, and spiked human plasma. By using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) to enhance fluorescence intensity and resolving overlapping spectra through first derivative synchronization, the method achieved high sensitivity and accuracy, with recovery rates of 99.62% for tadalafil and 100.19% for finasteride. The approach was evaluated for its environmental impact using various green metrics and was found to be superior to previously published methods.
