The study successfully formulated a spanlastic gel loaded with epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) for transdermal delivery, overcoming the low oral bioavailability of EGCG. The optimal formulation, identified as F3, included Span 60 and Tween 80 in a 6:4 ratio, achieving a vesicle size of 129.33 nm, a zeta potential of -38.06 mV, and an entrapment efficiency of 86.19%. The gel demonstrated controlled release following the Higuchi model and increased EGCG skin permeability by up to 2.51 times, indicating its potential as an effective transdermal delivery system.
