Spironolactone for Treatment of Concomitant Female Pattern Hair Loss in Scarring Alopecia Patients

    TLDR Spironolactone safely and effectively treats hair loss in female scarring alopecia patients.
    The study evaluated the use of spironolactone in female scarring alopecia patients with concomitant pattern hair loss. The drug was well-tolerated by most patients, with only a few reporting side effects. Patients who used spironolactone for at least 6 months showed an improvement in Sinclair score, indicating the drug's efficacy in treating hair loss in these patients. The study concludes that spironolactone is a safe and effective treatment option for female scarring alopecia patients with concomitant pattern hair loss.
