TLDR Stem cells have great potential for treating various medical conditions.
This narrative review explores the potential of stem cells in regenerative medicine, emphasizing their application across various medical fields, including dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and more. Stem cell therapies have shown promise in treating conditions such as alopecia, psoriasis, heart diseases, and neurological disorders, with mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) being particularly notable for their regenerative capabilities. In dermatology, stem cell treatments have demonstrated significant improvements in hair growth for alopecia patients. Despite promising early results, the review highlights the need for larger, standardized studies to confirm the efficacy and safety of these therapies, address ethical concerns, and optimize treatment protocols.
