Multicenter Clinical Study on Biocompatible Artificial Hair
The multicenter clinical study evaluated the efficacy, safety, and performance of the biocompatible artificial hair Biofibre4.0 in treating alopecia, involving 1,337 patients across 18 clinics in 15 countries. Results showed low rates of inflammation (7%), infections (7%), and itching (<3%), with no fiber breakage and curling in <1% of cases. Patient satisfaction was high at 96%, and complications were generally mild and manageable, with rare cases (<1%) requiring partial or total fiber removal. The study concluded that this hair implant technique, which does not cause scarring or require hospitalization, can be used alone or with other treatments to improve psychological well-being and quality of life, provided proper patient selection and adherence to medical protocols are maintained. Further improvements are anticipated to expand its application.
