This study investigated mycotic dermatitis in 154 dogs, identifying fungal infections in 32 cases (20.77%). Using methods like skin scraping, Wood's lamp screening, and cultural studies, the research found that Microsporum spp. was the most common pathogen (41.66%), followed by Trichophyton spp. (29.16%) and others. The study underscores the importance of accurate diagnosis through clinical, microscopic, and cultural assessments to address the diversity of fungal agents in canine dermatophytosis.
