Impact of Subclinical Hypothyroidism on Endocrine Features in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

TLDR Subclinical hypothyroidism in women with PCOS affects thyroid and hormone interactions but not ovary structure.
Subclinical hypothyroidism in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is linked to changes in the thyroid-prolactin axis and a disrupted relationship between thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). However, it does not seem to affect gonadotropin levels or ovarian morphology. Further prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings.
