Relationship of Telogen Hair Loss After Respiratory Diseases With Parameters of the General Blood Analysis in Military Service Age
January 2023
TLDR Respiratory diseases can cause hair loss, influenced by hemoglobin levels.
The study monitored 47 military personnel, divided into a main group (n = 31) with respiratory diseases and a control group (n = 16) of healthy individuals, to examine the relationship between respiratory diseases and telogen hair loss. It was found that an accelerated transition of hair to the telogen phase was significantly influenced by the level of hemoglobin in the blood (p = 0.04) and could occur even in mild respiratory diseases.
