TLDR Scalp and hair research in Korea has become more diverse and interdisciplinary, focusing on practical applications.
This study analyzed 201 academic articles on scalp and hair research in Korea from 1994 to 2024 using text mining techniques. It identified a shift from a single-cluster research focus in 1994–2014 to a diversified, multi-nucleus structure in 2015–2024, reflecting broader research interests in industrial, medical, and psychological areas. The research evolved from experimental and educational themes to integrated, interdisciplinary, and application-oriented studies, with increased network density and cohesion. This transition highlights a move towards a systemic and consumer-responsive research paradigm, offering insights for future interdisciplinary collaborations in the beauty and wellness sectors.
