The study investigated the effects of combining Ginkgo biloba extract dropping pills with butylphthalide capsules on cognitive dysfunction in 76 patients after acute ischemic stroke. Patients were divided into a control group receiving only butylphthalide and a combination group receiving both treatments. After 1 and 3 months, the combination group showed significant improvements in neurological and cognitive functions, daily living activities, and reduced levels of serum cytokines CRP, IL-6, and Hcy compared to the control group. The results suggest that the combination therapy is more effective in enhancing cognitive recovery and reducing inflammation in these patients.
