TLDR Tofacitinib significantly improved hair loss and lesions in a patient with overlapping autoimmune disorders.
This case report discusses a female patient with overlapping autoimmune disorders, Graham-Little-Piccardi-Lassueur Syndrome (GLPLS) and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), characterized by scalp hair loss and follicular lesions. Traditional treatments were ineffective, leading to the administration of tofacitinib 5 mg twice daily. After six months, the patient showed significant improvement in hair loss and resolution of lesions, with no recurrence or adverse events over a two-year follow-up. The report highlights the potential effectiveness of the JAK inhibitor tofacitinib in treating these challenging conditions.
