TLDR QV Face Rescue Gel effectively soothes sensitive skin and boosts collagen without causing irritation.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of QV Face Rescue Gel for sensitive skin, focusing on collagen production, erythema reduction, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). It involved 100 volunteers for irritation and sensitization, 10 for TEWL and facial sting studies, and 7 for erythema reduction. The gel significantly increased collagen types I and III, reduced UV-induced erythema comparable to 0.5% hydrocortisone, and decreased TEWL by up to 49%. It was nonstinging, nonirritating, nonsensitizing, and noncomedogenic, with no adverse reactions reported. Ingredients like niacinamide, witch hazel, and oat kernel extract contributed to its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing benefits.
