    The study on dermal papilla cells (DPCs) in cashmere goats reveals distinct molecular signatures related to growth phase, follicle type, and sex, with 3,857 differentially expressed genes identified. By isolating DPCs from primary and secondary hair follicles during early anagen and anagen phases in both male and female goats, researchers provided a comprehensive transcriptomic characterization of DPC heterogeneity. This research uncovers previously unexplored regulatory features and establishes a foundation for future studies aimed at enhancing cashmere yield and quality.
