TLDR The treatment improved hair growth and thickness in most patients with minimal side effects.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 10 male patients using microneedling combined with Sabal serrulata and biomimetic peptides. Over 10 weekly sessions, 60% of patients experienced a reduction in AGA severity by the 5th session, and 70% showed improved hair thickness by the 10th session. Trichoscopic evaluations revealed a 16.9% increase in hair density in the occipital area and improvements in hair shaft thickness, particularly in the temporal area. The treatment was deemed effective in enhancing hair growth and density, with minimal side effects reported. Despite the small sample size, the study suggested that this combination therapy could be a promising approach for AGA.
