Successful Treatment of Non-Pruritus, Excessive Hair Shedding and Scales in a Cat Due to Demodex Gatoi With Fluralaner Topical Spot-On

    This study reports a case of feline demodicosis caused by Demodex gatoi in a cat, characterized by excessive hair shedding and scales without the common symptom of pruritus. The study highlights the successful treatment of this condition using a single application of fluralaner topical spot-on, marking the first known instance of its off-label use for this purpose. The treatment was found to be safe and easy to apply.
