    Dissecting cellulitis of the scalp (DCS) is a rare chronic inflammatory condition that can lead to scarring alopecia if untreated. This case report of a 28-year-old female with DCS demonstrates the diagnostic value of trichoscopy, a non-invasive imaging technique. Trichoscopy identified key features such as yellow dots, broken hairs, and tufted hairs, which are indicative of primary scarring alopecia. The findings suggest that trichoscopy can facilitate early diagnosis and intervention, potentially preventing disease progression and reducing the need for invasive procedures like biopsies. This highlights the importance of trichoscopy in distinguishing DCS from other types of alopecia.
