Effectiveness and Safety of Triple-Diode Laser With or Without Adjunctive Topical Eflornithine in Female Hirsutism

The study evaluated the effectiveness of triple diode laser treatment with and without adjunctive topical eflornithine in reducing hair growth in 60 women with hirsutism. Participants were divided into two groups: one receiving only laser sessions and the other receiving both laser sessions and topical eflornithine. Results showed that the combination of laser and eflornithine led to a more rapid and nearly complete reduction in terminal hair compared to laser alone. Significant differences were observed at the 3-month follow-up, but not at the 6-month and 12-month follow-ups. The study concluded that adding topical eflornithine enhances the efficacy of laser hair removal.
