TLDR Upadacitinib improved symptoms and hair regrowth in a teen with multiple autoimmune conditions.
A 15-year-old male with atopic dermatitis, Crohn's disease, alopecia areata, and eosinophilic gastroenteropathy showed significant improvement in symptoms and hair regrowth after 16 weeks of treatment with upadacitinib, a JAK-1 inhibitor. This case underscores the potential of JAK inhibitors in treating complex autoimmune disorders with shared pathogenic pathways.
