Usefulness of PRP Therapy in Androgenic Alopecia

The study evaluated the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy in treating androgenic alopecia, a common form of non-cicatricial hair loss in both men and women. Over 300 patients received PRP injections, and the results showed significant improvements in terminal hair mass, hair texture, anagen/telogen hair ratio, keratinocyte proliferation, and blood vessel density. More than 85% of the patients experienced very positive outcomes, indicating that PRP is a safe, well-tolerated, and effective treatment for androgenic alopecia.
