    A 51-year-old woman presented with hirsutism, temporal hair loss, and increased appetite, with elevated levels of testosterone and androstenedione. Despite normal ultrasonography of the ovaries and negative results for pheochromocytoma, CT scanning of the adrenal glands and venous sampling indicated abnormal hormone levels. The diagnosis was not explicitly stated, but the findings suggested an adrenal source of androgen excess.
