    Image of study
TLDR Low vitamin D and ferritin levels may contribute to hair loss in women.
The study examined 120 women, 90 with hair loss and 30 as a control group, and found that women experiencing hair loss had significantly lower levels of vitamin D and ferritin. This suggests that deficiencies in these nutrients may contribute to hair loss. Positive correlations were also observed between vitamin D and ferritin, vitamin D and B12, and zinc and B12, highlighting the potential importance of these nutrients in maintaining hair health. The study recommends regular nutritional assessments and supplementation for women experiencing hair loss.
