    Lana Lekić, Bojan Pavlović
TLDR Vitamin D cream significantly reduces acne in people with vitamin D deficiency.
The study investigated the effects of topical vitamin D cream on inflammatory acne in 33 participants with vitamin D deficiency, comprising 8 males and 25 females, primarily aged 18-25. The cream was applied twice daily for one month, resulting in significant reductions in acne, with improvements ranging from 100% to 10%. Males showed notable reductions, achieving up to 100% improvement in some regions, while females also experienced substantial reductions, particularly in the facial and thoracic areas. The study highlights vitamin D deficiency as a contributing factor to inflammatory acne and suggests that vitamin D supplementation can lead to remarkable improvements in acne symptoms.
