This study examined 58 outpatients from Baghdad City suffering from varying levels of Vitamin D deficiency, with a focus on symptoms such as bone and back pain, tiredness, hair loss, and mood changes. The findings indicated that women were more prone to Vitamin D deficiency due to factors like menopause, pregnancy, and lactation. Patients aged 40-69 experienced significant bone and back pain, and 25% of the participants reported hair loss. Most participants felt tired and had headaches. Treatment with Vitamin D supplements, such as Cholecalciferol, improved symptoms, including reducing hair loss and pain, within two months. Additionally, the study found a link between low Vitamin D levels and depression, particularly in older adults, with supplements helping to improve mood, especially in women.
