This study on women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) involved 247 participants and highlighted a preference for alternative or collaborative treatment options, emphasizing lifestyle modifications. The most common dietary approaches were low carb, high protein, and low-calorie diets, often supplemented with vitamin D or D3, spearmint tea, omega-3 fatty acids, and probiotics. Metformin was the most frequently used prescription medication. The findings suggest that while these dietary and supplement strategies are popular, more research is needed to substantiate the effectiveness of nutrition-based interventions for managing PCOS.
